WE CAN SPOOK BRUM, SAYS HAV By Martin Neal, Evening Gazette ~ Wednesday 23rd July 2008 REDCAR Bears won’t just be taking on Birmingham Brummies when they visit Perry Barr tonight - they’ll be battling to overcome the spirit world too. The Midlands side have had an injury crisis to rival that of the TLS Bears this season and resorted to drastic action in a bid to revive their fortunes. For promoter Graham Drury called in psychic medium Philip Solomon in a bid to lift the curse on the team and the stadium ahead of last week’s clash with Reading. “I honestly feel we have to be the unluckiest speedway team ever,” said Drury. “We’ve had more than an entire 1-7 hit by injuries and we felt this was worth a try.” The spirits weren’t immediately awakened, however, and the Racers triumphed 40-40. . :: >>> HERE
BEARS PLAN TO PILE UP THE POINTS By Redcar Speedway ~ Tuesday 22nd July 2008 The Redcar Bears face another of the top teams in the Premier League when the Workington Comets visit the South Tees Motorsport Park off South Bank Road, Middlesbrough on Thursday evening. The rider parade is at 7.20 with the first race at 7.30.
